About our treats

How soft are Old Dog New Treats?

Our treats are intentionally soft-baked with a tender, cake-like texture. They’re easy to chew and simple to break into smaller pieces when needed.

Are the treats only for senior dogs?

Our formulas were created with senior dogs in mind, but they’re suitable for dogs at every stage of life. Ask your veterinarian if your dog has dietary restrictions, takes medication, or has an existing health condition.

Do the treats contain added sugar?

No. All three ODNT formulas are made without added sugar.

Are the treats grain-free?

No. Our formulas contain oat flour. Please review the complete ingredient list on each product page if your dog has a grain sensitivity.

Do the treats contain peanuts?

Yes. Brain Boost, Tender Heart, and Mobility Boost contain peanut flour. Review the complete ingredient list before serving, especially if your dog has food sensitivities.

Are the treats lab tested?

Yes. Each formula has been lab tested for guaranteed analysis, including protein, fat, fiber, moisture, and calorie content. You can find the results on each product page.

Where are the treats made?

Old Dog New Treats are small-batch made in Colorado with purposeful ingredients and a tender texture created for easy chewing.

Why might one batch look different from another?

Our treats are made in small batches with real ingredients, so slight differences in color, shape, and texture are normal. Every batch follows the same formula and quality standards.

How long do the treats stay fresh?

Unopened treats stay fresh for up to six months from the production date. Check the best-by date printed on the package.

For the best freshness and texture, use the treats within four to six weeks after opening.

How should I store the treats?

Reseal the bag after each use and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity. An airtight container can also help preserve freshness.

Refrigeration isn’t required.

Choosing and serving a formula

Which formula should I choose?

Each formula supports a different part of healthy aging:

Brain Boost supports cognitive function, focus, and mental sharpness.

Tender Heart supports cardiovascular health and healthy circulation.

Mobility Boost supports joint comfort, flexibility, and healthy movement.

If your dog could benefit from support in more than one area, you can serve multiple formulas according to their feeding directions.

Can I give my dog more than one formula?

Yes. The formulas can be served together or rotated when each is given according to its feeding directions.

Check with your veterinarian if your dog takes medication, has a health condition, or follows a special diet.

How many treats should I give my dog?

Offer ODNT as a treat or reward alongside a complete and balanced diet. The appropriate amount depends on your dog’s size, diet, activity level, and overall health.

Treats are intended for supplemental feeding and shouldn’t replace a meal.

How many calories are in each treat?

Approximate calories per treat are:

  • Brain Boost: 6 calories
  • Tender Heart: 9 calories
  • Mobility Boost: 10 calories

Treat size and shape may vary slightly because each formula is made in small batches.

Can these treats replace medication or veterinary care?

No. ODNT formulas are functional treats, not medications. They shouldn’t replace veterinary care, prescribed treatment, or a complete and balanced diet.

Speak with your veterinarian about your dog’s specific health needs.
